Course Objective: Participants will leave this training with tools to keep the right board members engaged and insight on a future board through a durable pipeline.

The resources and expertise board members bring are essential to nonprofits, but how do you recruit the right members who bring the right resources? In this session we will discuss ways to recruit, engage and retain board members who will help deliver services needed to meet your organization’s mission. We’ll focus on where and when to recruit, top qualities to look for, onboarding strategies, how to engage, lessons learned, and ways to gracefully say goodbye when necessary.
