Washington, D.C. – The Center for Nonprofit Advancement and Martha’s Table are proud to announce the second round of their tailored support program for 10 community-driven nonprofit organizations in Ward 8. This initiative builds on the success of the first round, which provided assistance to local grassroots leaders. The ongoing collaboration demonstrates a shared commitment to adapting and refining efforts to meet the specific needs of Ward 8’s nonprofit sector.

What’s New for Round Two

This capacity building program will introduce an enhanced package of tools, resources, and guidance, including:

  • A $15,000 Community Impact Fund grant to support general operations and strategic growth projects.
  • A comprehensive evaluation to identify strengths, challenges, and practical next steps for growth.
  • Working sessions on topics such as financial management, leadership succession, and storytelling for social media.
  • A one-year membership to the Center for Nonprofit Advancement, offering additional training opportunities, events, and resources.

Participants from the initial cohort highlighted the program’s hands-on approach, especially for nonprofit leaders managing multiple priorities. One participant shared, “This program has been life-changing for me. I am forever grateful for the opportunity.”

The initiative’s focus on tailoring resources ensures that strategies and tools are actionable and aligned with each participant’s current stage of development. Reflecting on their experience, one leader remarked, “The evaluation process allowed us to identify critical areas for improvement and gave us the roadmap to grow.”

Refining the Model for Greater Impact

To optimize outcomes, the Center collaborated with NNR Evaluation, Research & Planning LLC to assess the program thoroughly. This review, which included focus groups, surveys, and material analysis, provided key insights to enhance support for nonprofit leaders moving forward.
